Luggage of missing cruise tourist remained on board

KRALENDIJK - Multiple agencies are working together to find missing American cruise tourist Jessica Collins (47). The woman disappeared on Wednesday, September 17th after leaving the cruise ship Carnival Horizon.

The Public Entity Bonaire reports that part of Collins’ luggage and personal belongings were found still on board the ship. However, she did take all her identification documents with her when she disembarked.

Broad cooperation

Local authorities are working intensively with various partners. Those involved include the Public Entity Bonaire, the Harbor Office, Tourism Corporation Bonaire, Carnival Cruise Line Security, and the ship’s head of security.

Direct contact has also been established with Carnival Corporation and American authorities to coordinate the search efforts.

Situation being monitored

"The goal is to find Ms. Collins quickly and safely. The situation is being closely monitored," according to the Public Entity Bonaire. As soon as new information becomes available, it will be shared.

The cruise ship Carnival Horizon was docked at Bonaire on Wednesday, September 17th and departed later that evening without the missing passenger.

Authorities are calling on anyone who has seen Jessica Collins or has information to contact the anonymous tip line at 9310 or the general number 715-8000.
