Bonaire Honours Dutch Crown Princess with New Space Innovation Park Name

KRALENDIJK — The Galileo station on Bonaire was officially inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon. The ceremony took place at Barkadera at WEB, near the 1000 Steps dive site.

The park will carry the name Princess Catharina Amalia Space Innovation Park. Many invited guests attended the special occasion. The day began in the morning with a guided walk leading up to the final section of the park.

Several speakers addressed the audience before the name of the station was officially announced. Island Governor John Soliano, Edison Reina, and Afke van Rijn all expressed their enthusiasm about the station and the name it has been given.
