THE BOTTOM, Saba – An unmanned vessel believed to belong to a resident of St. Barths was found on the rocks along Saba’s coastline on Monday, with a dog still aboard.

The dog, Archie, has been found alive.

Local fishermen spotted the vessel near the All Too Far Trail, between Sulphur Mine and Diamond Rock, and alerted the Harbor Master. Saba’s Search and Rescue (SAR) team responded and found no people aboard. A dog found on the vessel was safely brought ashore and is now being cared for.

According to the Public Entity Saba, information received indicates that the vessel belongs to a St. Barths resident who had been searching for both the boat and the dog for several days.
