KRALENDIJK - During the 40th anniversary celebration of NAPA Bonaire, on August 1, 2026, director Andre Lendering distributed over $19,000 to local organizations and charities on the island.

Ongoing contribution to people with disabilities

Lendering began by announcing that NAPA Bonaire will continue to supply parts and services worth $3,200 to Fundashon Kuido Persona Disabilta. He confirmed this commitment will continue in the years ahead.

Shaedra Baromeo, who advocates for underprivileged children on Bonaire, will also receive support. NAPA Bonaire will cover all food and drink costs for the annual trip to Washington Slagbaai (value: $3,000), allowing the children to enjoy a carefree weekend away.

Donations to healthcare and aid organizations

In addition, both Fundashon Alzheimer Bonaire and Kas Flamboyan each received $2,000 to spend freely. Ambulance di Deseo received a full year’s worth of fuel, valued at $1,200.

"I stand by the fact that a company that does business in Bonaire and makes money on the island, should find a way to invest back into the community it serves. I personally choose to invest back into the people that I know cannot do it themselves, depending on organizations to aid them. That is the reason I chose to give organizations like Fundashon Alzheimer Bonaire, Kas Flamboyan, Ambulance di Deseo and Shaedra’s vision of helping the less fortunate kids of the community," said Andre Lendering, Managing Director of NAPA Bonaire.

Toy car auction raises an additional $3,000

Lendering encouraged those present to make a contribution for a NAPA toy car, with the proceeds going to the community. The campaign raised $3,072, distributed among the aforementioned organizations. Ambulance di Deseo will also receive four new tires and an oil change.

Partners double the effort with an additional $5,200

The following day, representatives from NAPA Miami Distribution Center, Gearwrench, Valspar Paints, and Topdon announced they would collectively match Lendering’s donations, adding an extra $5,200.

The total amount to be distributed within the Bonaire community thereby comes to $19,672.
