THE BOTTOM / ORANJESTAD – The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) is urging residents and visitors on St. Eustatius and Saba to celebrate Carnival 2026 responsibly and help ensure the festivities remain safe for everyone.
Police officers will be present throughout Carnival events on both islands to maintain public order, assist the public and respond to incidents. KPCN stressed that violence, weapon possession and driving under the influence of alcohol will not be tolerated, with offenders facing arrest and other penalties.
The police also asked the public to avoid using glass bottles, refrain from causing noise disturbances after events and follow officers’ instructions at all times. According to KPCN, everyone shares responsibility for creating a safe and enjoyable Carnival atmosphere.
