KRALENDIJK - On July 1, Rotary Clubs worldwide begin the new Rotary year, and Rotary Club Bonaire immediately opened the year with a gesture towards the community. During the lunch meeting, symbolic cheques were presented to representatives of the Ambulance Wens foundation and the Wolf Pack Baseball foundation.
Stichting Ambulance Wens Bonaire has been working since 2024 to fulfil wishes free of charge for immobile and terminally ill patients.
Stichting Wolf Pack Baseball was founded six years ago by three baseball players whose children were in the same age group. Their goal was, and still is, to give children on Bonaire the opportunity to further develop in baseball. That is beginning to bear fruit: six children have now been admitted to a high school in the United States, and this year the club’s first international tournament was an immediate success.
The donations are made possible thanks to the proceeds from Feria 2026.
