RINCON - Minister of Long-Term Care, Youth and Sports Mirjam Sterk has officially opened the new meeting park in Rincon, located next to the Catholic church. The ceremony was attended by island governor John Soliano, Father Baak and deputy Timoteo.
Before the ribbon cutting, the attendees shared a few words and raised a glass. All speakers stressed that the park is a beautiful addition to the community and that it should be well maintained. The park is open to everyone, with children in particular encouraged to make use of the various play facilities on offer.
INDEBON chief Terrence de Jongh was also present at the opening. He urged the public to report any suspicious activity in or around the park to INDEBON.
