ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Members of the Board of Aruba Airport Authority recently visited the construction site of Phase 1B of the Gateway 2030 transformation programme to review progress on the ongoing expansion of Queen Beatrix International Airport.
According to the airport authority, construction remains on schedule, with the new facilities steadily taking shape. The site visit gave board members an opportunity to inspect the work being carried out as the project advances toward its next milestone.
Gateway 2030 is a multi-year redevelopment programme aimed at modernising the airport and improving the passenger experience. Phase 1B includes the construction of new boarding gates with passenger boarding bridges, expanded waiting areas and additional terminal capacity to make travel more efficient and prepare the airport for future growth.
The airport authority said it will continue to provide updates as work progresses toward completion.
