GUSTAVIA, St. Barths – Regional airline St Barth Commuter participated in a full-scale civil protection exercise earlier this month, simulating an aircraft accident at Rémy de Haenen Airport.
While emergency responders carried out rescue operations on the ground, the airline activated its crisis management team to coordinate with authorities, manage information and support passengers and families as part of the exercise scenario.
According to the airline, the drill helped test emergency procedures under realistic conditions, identify areas for improvement and strengthen coordination between all agencies involved. St Barth Commuter thanked the local authorities, airport staff, emergency services and security forces for their cooperation.
