ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius - Fly Dutch Caribbean has announced the establishment of Fly Dutch Caribbean (Statia) B.V., a locally incorporated company that will serve as the airline’s base on St. Eustatius and support its future growth in the northeastern Caribbean.
The announcement marks another step in the carrier’s development on the island, where it already operates flights connecting St. Eustatius with St. Kitts, Nevis and, more recently, Grand Case on the French side of St. Martin. The airline has also indicated plans to introduce larger twin-engine aircraft as its network continues to expand.
According to the company, the creation of a Statia-based entity reflects a long-term commitment to the island and is expected to contribute to local economic development through employment opportunities, business activity and improved regional connectivity. Fly Dutch Caribbean said the new company will focus on building air services that meet the needs of residents while strengthening links between St. Eustatius and destinations elsewhere in the Caribbean.
Beginning of new phase
The airline described the move as the beginning of a new phase in its development and said further details about its plans will be released in the coming weeks.
