WILLEMSTAD – TUI is expanding its number of flights to Curaçao this coming winter with two extra flights per week. The tour operator is responding to the persistently strong demand for holidays on the island and reports that its flights to Curaçao have reached a load factor of 100 percent in recent months.
With this expansion, the total number of weekly TUI flights to the ABC islands during the winter season rises to sixteen. The two additional direct flights to Curaçao will operate on Mondays and Thursdays, adding over 27,000 extra seats.
According to Antoin Klein Hofmeijer, Head of TUI Dutch Caribbean, Curaçao in particular is showing exceptionally strong market development. The expansion is aimed at meeting growing demand while also providing greater flexibility within TUI’s route network.
Boeing 787 with local cabin crew
The tour operator is also seeing strong booking momentum for the 2026–2027 winter season. All flights are operated with a Boeing 787 with seating for 305 passengers, divided across Deluxe, Comfort and Economy. Part of the cabin crew is recruited locally from Curaçao.
According to TUI, the extra capacity benefits not only Curaçao but also creates more room within the network for destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire and the Dominican Republic. The airline sees the continued high demand as a confirmation of Curaçao’s appeal as a tourist destination.
