ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Regional carrier Fly Dutch Caribbean Islandhopper has hinted that more details about its planned service between St. Eustatius and the French side of St. Martin will be announced in the coming days.

In a social media post on Thursday, the airline shared images from its visit to French St. Martin and described the new connection as an opportunity to strengthen regional connectivity and improve access to services, shopping, family and friends. The company also thanked the management and staff of St. Martin’s Grand Case–Espérance Airport (SFG), also known as L’Espérance Airport, for their hospitality.

Fly Dutch Caribbean said an “important announcement” regarding the official launch of the route will be made on Friday. The airline has previously indicated that schedules, fares and booking details would be released as part of the launch process.

The new service follows regulatory approval granted in late May for flights between F.D. Roosevelt Airport on Statia and Grand Case–Espérance Airport on the French side of St. Martin.

As previously reported by BES-Reporter, additional information is expected next week regarding the planned flight schedule and the aircraft type that will be used on the route. The service is expected to provide Statians with a direct link to the French side of the island, opening up new travel and connection opportunities within the northeastern Caribbean.
