BRADES, Montserrat – Winair is set to play an increasingly important role in air travel to and from Montserrat in the coming months, according to an update from the Access Division within the Office of the Premier Reuben Meade.
For the remainder of January and February 2026, Winair will operate flights between St. Maarten, Montserrat and Antigua three times a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The airline however is expected to expand this service to daily operations starting in March 2026, a development that is significant for regional connectivity given Winair’s central role in Caribbean air travel.
SVG Air, also a provider on the route to Montserrat, is currently experiencing operational challenges, including aircraft maintenance issues and the loss of several pilots and engineers. As a result, the airline has closed its booking system for the rest of January and February. Bookings for travel in March 2026 remain available.
Fly Montserrat continues to provide daily service between Montserrat and Antigua, with tickets available online and at its office at the John A. Osborne Airport.
Air access
The access division states that it is working closely with Winair and Fly Montserrat to ensure reliable and consistent air access to the island during this period.
