KRALENDIJK – On Monday, July 20, the first green turtle nest of this season was found at Playa Chikitu in Washington Slagbaai National Park. Rangers from STINAPA observed the turtle activity and reported it to Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB), who confirmed the find.
The nest is located near the entrance of the beach. A protective tape has been placed around it. Visitors are strongly urged to respect the barrier and not enter the marked area, so that the turtle hatchlings can emerge undisturbed.
