For many island-born young people living in the Netherlands, the thought keeps returning: one day, going back home. Being closer to family, reconnecting with familiar culture, and returning to the place where it all began. During The National Careerfair on April 24 and 25, 2026, at the RAI Amsterdam, that step becomes real through the ‘Working in the Caribbean’ program. Tickets can be claimed for free via ncb.carrierebeurs.nl.

More than 70 employers from the Caribbean will be in Amsterdam to meet students, recent graduates, and professionals from the diaspora. Top employers such St Maarten Medical Centre, Openbaar Lichaam Saba, Openbaar Lichaam St. Eustatius, White Yellow Cross and St. Eustatius Health Care Foundation will be present, offering concrete opportunities to apply your knowledge and experience to contribute to the development of the islands.

In addition to meeting employers, the fair offers an extensive program with about a hundred workshops and presentations, covering both professional and personal development. There is also room to celebrate the Caribbean culture, including a live performance by JEON!

Share this with your children, nephews, nieces, or friends in the Netherlands – this is the chance to come home and build a future on the islands.
