‘Working in the Caribbean’ is a special part of The National Career Fair 2026, the largest career-event of The Netherlands, and offers employers from the Caribbean region and Suriname direct access to a unique talent pool in the Netherlands.
During the previous edition nearly 60 Caribbean and Surinamese organizations participated in ‘Working in the Caribbean’. In total, more than 200 companies were present at the fair, attracting 14,500 visitors: students, recent graduates, young professionals, and experienced professionals. A significant portion of these visitors consists of diaspora professionals who are eager to return to the islands or Suriname but are still searching for the right employer and pathway.

Companies can reserve a booth within ‘Working in the Caribbean’ and connect directly with motivated candidates who combine international experience with strong regional ties. The fair is ideal for organizations that not only want to recruit but also aim to build sustainable relationships with future talent.
Match&Meet: Stay Connected Beyond the Event
Upon registration, participating companies gain access to the Match&Meet platform: the National Career Fair’s online matching tool. This allows employers to connect with matching candidates based on profile, interests, and background from one month before until one month after the event. Recruitment therefore does not end on the exhibition floor but continues in a focused and structured manner.
More Than Recruitment
The National Career Fair also offers visitors a extensive program featuring over 100 workshops and presentations focused on career development, labor market orientation, and personal growth. The event also includes entertainment, such as a live performance by Jeon!
