Before you leave:

Make sure your home is safely secured.

Switch off the stove, kitchen appliances and unnecessary electrical devices.
Cooking or grilling along the parade route?

Keep a fire extinguisher or a garden hose with water nearby.

Keep a minimum distance of 3 meters to prevent fire from spreading from one booth/area to another.
Keep side streets clear for emergency services!

Do not block access roads so emergency responders can arrive quickly.

Avoid placing obstacles that could hinder the fire department and other emergency services in case of an emergency.
