
At the Judicial Institution Caribbean Netherlands (JICN), people work hard every day to uphold safety and justice on Bonaire. It is work that largely takes place behind closed doors, yet plays a crucial role within society.
Guards, supervisors and support staff work together to maintain a safe and humane environment, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They don’t just watch over fences and doors — they also contribute to structure, stability and perspective for people in detention.
What remains out of sight is what happens here every day. And that deserves recognition.
