Library Receives Recognition with Nomination for Social Impact Award

AMSTERDAM – The library of Bonaire was recognised at RAI Amsterdam with a nomination for the prestigious Social Impact Award. Although the ultimate victory went to Kloosterkwartier Veghel, the library’s organisation looks back with pride on the appreciation it received from the professional jury.

According to the jury, the library distinguished itself in a remarkable way from the other entries. The jury members were unanimous in their assessment that the organisation stood out thanks to its social impact and the way in which its programme has been shaped. In addition, the work of Biblioteka was described as admirable, and the organisation received praise for the results it has achieved.

The nomination is regarded within the library as an important recognition of the dedication of the staff, partners and volunteers who contribute daily to the library’s role in society.

During the awards ceremony, the library received a commemorative pin and a special book as a token of appreciation in honour of the nomination.
