THE BOTTOM, Saba – Construction has officially started on a new building near the gazebo by the Administration Building in The Bottom, which will house a new ATM and public restrooms — two facilities that have long been needed in the area.

The project, initiated by Public Entity Saba, comes in response to ongoing problems with the island’s ATM availability. The Bottom’s only ATM is currently tied to a specific bank and is frequently out of service, leaving residents and visitors without access to cash.

The new building will address both issues at once: a new ATM will improve access to banking services, while the addition of public restrooms meets a long-standing need in the centre of The Bottom.

Construction is expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
