New Community Officer Courtar starts island visits, Meet & Greet today

ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Statia’s new Community Officer, Rexcarlos Courtar, has started introductory visits to organizations and institutions across the island as he takes up his community policing role. The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) said residents can meet him in person at a Meet & Greet in front of the Police Station today, Friday, October 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
According to KPCN, Courtar spent the past three days visiting the Fire Department, the airport, schools, businesses and other community partners. He also met Acting Island Governor Sharon Hassell to discuss cooperation between the police, local organizations and residents.
KPCN said Courtar will increasingly be present in neighborhoods and at community activities, where residents can approach him with non-emergency concerns or questions about safety.
