THE BOTTOM, Saba – The Island Council of Saba has launched a new website aimed at improving public access to council information and proceedings.
The platform was developed over several months by SIM Caribbean, in collaboration with the Island Registrar’s Office and the ICT and Communications Department. It brings together a range of digital tools into a single, integrated system.
Among the main features is the iBabs Council Information System and public portal, allowing residents to access agendas and documents. The website also offers live and on-demand webcasting of council meetings, making it possible for the public to follow discussions and review materials online. Meetings will continue to be available via the Public Entity Saba YouTube channel.
The upgrade is supported by new audiovisual systems in the council’s meeting room, supplied by AVEX.
Improvements
According to the Island Council, the new website is intended to strengthen transparency, improve accessibility and support greater public engagement.
