St. Eustatius hosts DCNA board visit focused on nature and cooperation

ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – The Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance (DCNA) recently held its bi-annual board week on St. Eustatius, bringing together regional conservation partners to discuss collaboration and environmental priorities.

During the visit, DCNA representatives, together with Stenapa St Eustatius, were received by Island Governor Alida Francis. Discussions focused on the role of nature in the wider community and the importance of cooperation between government and conservation organizations.

According to DCNA, St. Eustatius serves as an example of how local government and protected area management can work together to support conservation efforts and community development.

Rotation

The meeting formed part of DCNA’s regular board activities, which rotate across the islands and aim to strengthen regional coordination among nature organizations in the Dutch Caribbean.
