Princess Juliana International Airport Unveils Gallery Honoring St. Maarten’s Changemakers

SIMPSON BAY, St. Maarten – Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) has unveiled a new gallery honoring people who have made a lasting contribution to Sint Maarten and the development of the airport.
The “Princess Juliana’s Gallery of Changemakers” features an initial group of individuals selected by an internal PJIA committee based on their leadership, service and contributions to the island. More people are expected to be added in the future.
The gallery has been installed on a wall near the Cargo Building along the road toward Maho and was incorporated into the airport’s ongoing reconstruction and refurbishment work.
PJIA said the initiative is intended to preserve and share the stories of people who helped shape Sint Maarten. The airport also plans to highlight individual honorees and their stories through its social media channels in the coming weeks.
