Healthcare Institutions on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba Switch to Digital Client Records

KRALENDIJK – Six healthcare institutions on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba have been working with an Electronic Client Record (ECR) system since March. For five institutions, this marks the first time client data will be recorded digitally: ZW-Groep, FKPD and Kalor di Hogar on Bonaire, and SEHCF and the St. Eustatius Auxiliary Home Foundation on Sint Eustatius. Mental Health Caribbean (MHC) is the sixth institution, transitioning to a new system better tailored to mental healthcare.
The switch is part of the DigiCare project. With the digital record, healthcare professionals can collaborate more quickly and accurately while always having access to up-to-date client information, improving the quality and safety of care.
In recent months, the institutions prepared for the transition by training staff and adapting work processes. "This collaboration has made digitalisation possible for us as relatively small institutions. Together, we have laid a solid foundation for the future," says Silberie, director of ZW-Groep. Barnard, Director of Care and Youth for Caribbean Netherlands, adds: "I am proud of the dedication of all healthcare executives, healthcare professionals and the DigiCare project team."
